Dear Aaron,
If they celebrate birthday's in Heaven, I hope you have the best birthday ever. If you were here today we would have the best biggest cake ever made in the world! We would love you and sing the worst happy birthday song ever.
Your Aunt Jody, she would buy you the loudest toy in the world. Your Grandma's would spoil you rotten. Your brothers would give you a Nerf gun, or some sort of weapon I am sure, because ever boy needs a weapon. They would insist that you would need it. Your Daddy would love you, and let you get away with anything, because after all it is your birthday. I...I would dress you in the cutest outfit, and take a million pictures, and kiss you all day and celebrate every moment with you.
But since you are not here, I hope the Angels sing the most beautiful song to you, that your Grandma's who have passed away love you. That your Aunt Glenda will take the place of your Grandma Shirley and love you and spoil you. And I hope you have the best day in Heaven celebrating the hour you were here with us. And think we are one year closer to coming home to you.
Miss you, oh so much my sweet little boy.
Love your family, but especially your Mom.
You are so strong. Love you guys tons. Love this post.
ReplyDeleteBrandi, this is such a beautiful post and the Birthday song is so sweet. I am thinking about you and your family today and hope that you have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a journey you have all been on this past year. We love you all and join you in thinking of your sweet Aaron today.
ReplyDeleteBrandi, you have given Aaron all of the very best birthday gifts -- your love, your faith, your determination to be with him again, your tremendous example of grace and strength. Love you and wish you all a happy birthday.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe it has been a whole year. My thoughts are with you today on Aaron's birthday. Take care.

ReplyDeleteBrandi,
ReplyDeleteSo sweet and perfect! Our thoughts are with you today and pray for comfort and peace for your family. Love you and thank you for your friendship through everything. Wishing you the best birthday in heaven, Aaron! Love you guys!
Brandi, wow, I can't believe it's been a year! I really admire your strength! My prayers are with you...and most importantly Happy Birthday lil Aaron!
ReplyDeleteOf course I would give him the loudest toy! Until then I will have to give all of them to his brothers!!:))) Happy Birthday to Aaron! We love and Miss you!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your sweet Aaron. What an amazing birthday party God must have in heaven for our sweet little blessings. Lifting you up in prayer today.
ReplyDeleteBrandi, I bet you can't believe you actually "survived" a year without your sweet Aaron here. I know you've had a really rough year with a lot of things, but it really is true that the first year is the hardest. You never, ever forget and you never, ever, "move on," but for us, the pain started to soften for us as time went on. We think about our Anna all the time and yes, you are one year closer to being with him again. Sweet post.
ReplyDeleteJust thinking about you. We'll continue to keep you in our prayers.
ReplyDeleteYou are such an amazing woman with an amazing family. Thank you for having your blog public. I have a good friend who will be experiencing the same thing you did. I gave her a link to your blog thanks to Terri so she can receive the strength she needs from your example. Thank you for your faith and testimony. You are AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteHi Brandi, Thanks for sharing and showing us that you can go on and still have happy times. I know how you miss Aaron.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter Emily gave birth to her sweet Daniel on May 10. He lived for 32 minutes. I'm so grateful to the people at McKay Dee Hospital and the volunteers who took photos and made casts of his little hand and foot.
We miss him so much. But we know that he only needed to be here for that short time, and that he will always be a part of our family.
Reading your blog, I think you must live near Emily. She's doing well, but I think it would be so good for her to be able to talk to someone else who has been through this. If you are willing, please email me at jsbrown806@gmail.com.
Thanks for sharing.
