Happy 2nd Birthday Aaron!

Dear Aaron,
In the scriptures it tells us our words and actions are recorded by the angels in Heaven. I hope whomever may be recording my words and actions today will pass them along to you. Happy Birthday sweet boy! I imagine today would be a fun filled day, no brothers at home with us, just you and me celebrating the day away. We would probably buy you a trike so you could ride bikes with the boys. You would practice in the basement with Preston, it seems in our family during the winter the empty basement becomes the play land for bikes and anything with wheels. All though Dad has helped your brothers discover remote control cars, so maybe we would be getting you one of those to keep up with the boys. I wonder what we would make for your family dinner? I am sure something easy like Mac n cheese or chicken nuggets isn't that what all 2 year olds love? Of course cake and ice cream would be served and family would come and what a day it would be.....who are we kidding around here it is a week celebration at least, if not longer.

Of course you are not here, so instead we hang a Happy Birthday banner (made by Aunt Tessa) and ever so silently mourn the day we celebrate you. We will visit you at your grave with candles (your brother wanted strobe lights, but I am not sure how I feel about that @ the cemetery). We love you and miss you everyday, and we want you to know that we feel you, we know you are close.

Love you so much,
From all of us but especially Mom

P.S in case you didn't know......but I am sure you knew before us-YOU ARE GOING TO BE A BIG BROTHER!

  9. To my lovely Brandi,
My heart is full of love and graditude. My eyes are full of tender tears as I remember our little Aaron. My mind has been swerling with memories of him and everything that has come into our lives becasuse of him. Especially today I treasure the sacred moments you allowed us to be a part of, when he was born. I remember the thrill of feeling him move in my arms and the penatrating power of heaven that filled that hospital room and my heart. I will never forget sitting back and watching the miracle of you, Sam, Stockton, and Preston bonding with your sweet little son and brother.
We have so many amazing memories,..a day in the Temple when the rooms and the halls were so full of people that a temple worker asked us what was going on because he had never seen the Temple like that before.
Your have given countless hours of service in Aaron's name. There was the homeless shelter, Valentines, Easter at the Ronald McDonald House, running with angels, and the Festival of Trees just to mention a few.
Remember a year ago at his first birthday trying to build a snowman by putting snow into plastic bags and stacking them up because the snow was more ice than snow. Then Preston insisted we sing the Star Spangled Banner instead of happy birthday because he was sure that was what Aaron wanted.
Everyone can see that Aaron has brought something amazingling special to your family. You have a tenderness, a closeness, and a deep devotion to each other that is rare. Sometimes when I am watching you I feel like I have peaked into eternity. An hour with Aaron has blessed your family (and others) more than anyone else ever could have in a hundred years on earth.
Oh, how very VERY much we love him and your family.
Your bravery and good efforts have blessed our live more than we can say.
Remember we carry thoughts of you in our hearts and prayers for you on our lips.
    Thank you and Love,
    Grandma V and Grandpa Rick
